CO-CREATE: Collaborate by Design Public consultation services
What we do
Co-create offers a bespoke user consultation service designed to create
inclusive and participatory concept designs for public and shared space
and services. We offer a range of workshop-based user-consultation
services, from one-off, intensive sessions for planning authorities
to comprehensive, design and construction work-stage linked sessions.
How we do it
Each workshop session is taylor-made to suit your needs, from both
scale and scope, during one to one or group sessions. As qualified
architects and artists, we not only understand the construction process,
but we utilize the techniques used to design as part of the process
– engaging the users in playful, creative and tactile tasks to produce
real design ideas.
Our process ALWAYS starts with listening to what people want, since this
informs the process as much as the end product.
- The methods we use often include:
- Interviews, video-diaries, film-making (to broadcast
or pod-cast standard)
- Research events, site visits and investigations
- Playful and revealing games, kits and workshop
activities
- Prototyping and model-making
Who we do it with (!)
As well as being qualified architects, strategists and artists, we
are keen networkers and collaborators, and recognize the importance
of connecting with experts and specialists from professors and industry
specialists to community groups and people with insider local knowledge.
Where we do it

of our projects have taken us to Tokyo, Chicago and Delhi.

can co-create good design, by asking people what they want in an inspired
